Call for Participants - "Non-Formal Education for Life"

Description

The main purpose of this training course is to allow participants to experience non-formal education and its learning effects through a range of different methods and environments and understand and value its 'invisible learning outcomes'.

YFU Perspective

The training course will give YFU volunteers the opportunity to become more familiar with a diverse range of non-formal education concepts.  It will develop essential skills for YFU facilitators of learning in NFE settings, such as team work, communication and evaluation and debriefing.  It will increase YFU's competence and motivation to work within a NFE environment and will explore the recognition of NFE at EU level.  This will allow YFU to gain a deeper understanding of how the EU regards NFE and will be useful for them at a national level.  The course will also introduce participants to existing evaluation and assessment tools used for valuing NFE.
