IRS 2003 part 1 - "Islam in Europe - A Dialogue Between Cultures"

The subject of IRS 2003 was "Islam in Europe - A dialogue between cultures", and it took place in Waide, Estonia on October 23-28. The objective of the seminar was to create a broader view on European politics and the influence of religion and cultural heritage among the participants. Another aim was to make the participants conscious of their own potential as multipliers in activating other young people in this intercultural dialogue.
The participants had different organizational background. Some came from YFU and others from Muslim youth organizations around Europe. Together they explored stereotypes of religion and cultural background, learned more about the differences and similarities, and saw the diversity within the broader Islamic and Christian cultures. In the preparation of the seminar we co-operated with FEMYSO, the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations.
